Affordable Housing Advocacy Training
You can use your voice to be a champion for affordable homes!
Join Aeon residents, staff and volunteers on Friday, February 3 from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. for an interactive workshop on how to advocate for housing at the legislature this spring.
At the event, you will have the opportunity to:
- Learn more about advocacy work
- Form your story and practice sharing it with elected officials
- Understand the Minnesota Coalition for the Homeless legislative agenda
Zara Wolfe, Director of Community Engagement at the Minnesota Coalition for the Homeless (MCH), will lead the workshop. We will also be joined by MCH’s lobbyist, who will provide insight into what is already happening on the Hill this legislative session.
The event will be held at Aeon’s Blooming Meadows North, located at 1926 E 86th St in Bloomington. There will also be a livestream option available to those who are unable to join in-person.
A Microsoft Teams link will be sent to registered livestream guests. Please register by Tuesday, January 31 to receive a packet of materials via email.
To register and learn more, or if you need any accommodations to participate, contact Autumn at firstname.lastname@example.org or 612-578-8942.
