Originally built in 1917, The Balmoral was carefully renovated to retain the historical integrity of the building and to provide affordability to low-income individuals and families.

The Balmoral’s landscaped courtyard provides residents with a quiet respite from a busy urban area.

 

Development History

The Balmoral had been marred by years of neglect when Aeon purchased it in 1989. In 1992, Aeon was honored with a “Historic Rehab Award” from the Minneapolis Heritage Preservation Commission.
