Aeon welcomes Tyler Parette to Leadership Team

Minnesota is facing an affordable housing crisis. Aeon, a nonprofit developer, owner and manager of almost 6,000 affordable homes in the Twin Cities area, is responding by growing its impact. With this aim, Aeon continues to hire top talent. Aeon is welcoming Tyler Parette to its Leadership Team as Vice President of Resident Support. The organization is currently in the process of setting a new strategic plan that will guide their work over the next 10 years, and the addition of Parette will offer new perspectives and experiences during this important time.

A new arrival to Minnesota, Parette grew up in northeast Oklahoma and moved to Tulsa after college to work in public policy. It was there that he began to understand the magnitude of the housing crisis facing our communities. Growing from the relationships he made with people experiencing homelessness, Parette began volunteering with organizations that helped people survive on the streets and pave a path toward stable housing. These experiences charted the course of his career working in homeless services.

Parette was most recently the Director of Outreach and Engagement at Housing Solutions in Tulsa, Oklahoma. While in Tulsa, he was awarded a key to the city for his efforts focused on important community-based work with people living without shelter. Tyler also has experience working in advocacy and public policy and holds a bachelor’s degree in political science.

“Aeon’s mission, and the possibility of impacting affordable housing on such a large scale, is what brought me here,” Parette says. “Thousands of people find home with Aeon each year. It’s exciting to think about what we can accomplish when we work together to create and maintain affordable housing for those who need it most.”
